Guinea Pig 2: Flower of Flesh and Blood

So I continue my foray into the sickest films in existence. No trailer for this one as the one i found was truly horrific, I am not dragging the blog THAT low!

How do I rationalise this, given my love of horror and gore. What makes GP2 so unacceptable in my eyes? I think because it is essentially a gore snuff film. It follows a man in a samurai costume who dismembers a captive over the course of 40 minutes. This is done as an artistic statement and the “victim” is simply an avatar of flesh. There is no empathy for anyone or anything in the piece and the simple reaction is “awww gross”. vlcsnap-2010-07-21-10h19m42s141

I think the reason that I find GP2 so ludicrously pathetic is that it obviously has no artistic value and has been made purely to shock. When the content of a work relies simply on its negative impact then you begin to question its value.

GP2 is simply rubbish, effectively shot and dramatically visceral it has no place in cinema other then to disturb and strikes me as simply porn for serial killers.vlcsnap-2010-07-21-10h20m04s100

Even if you can find it, don’t bother.
